QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

A global shipping service network (Focal Shipping Services), has newly established its shipping agency services in Istanbul namely Focal Gemi Acenteliği A.Ş. which is looking for an Agency Officer/ Operator in Istanbul.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equal level (Marine/Naval Architecture/Mechanical or Ship Management is preferable )

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field & a similar position

  • Advance Level in both spoken and written English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook programs

  • No military obligations for male candidates

  • Analytical mind with strong planning and self learning skills, team work oriented

  • To have good technical knowledge, observation skills and high quality vision in order to fulfill job requirements

  • Knowledge of an ERP system preferred



ACCOUNTANT is responsible for;


  • Following up the changes and progress in the body of the current Turkish Commercial Law, Turkish Tax Laws, Social Security Institution and governmental decrees with circulars related those laws and apply them into the Company records.

  • Upon distribution of the duties according to the internal organization of the accountancy department, he/she provides recording incoming documents in accordance with its related legislation, regulations, bulletin and written decrees.

  • To provide the transmission of the mandatory statements and declarations to the tax office and social security association, according to the results of records basis weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.

  • With regards to the external and internal financial audits in accordance with the Law, the Jr. Accountant is to provide to continuity of study on the Company financial statements and records by the certified financial consultants and financial auditors appointed by shareholders.

  • Reporting the financial statements (profit & loss tables and balance sheet etc.) to the Managing Director and the Board quarterly and annually.

  • Reporting and mutually agreeing on the weekly debits and liabilities and weekly balances of bank accounts with the Managing Director.
