QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
- M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering,
- Experience with CAD software, preferably Siemens NX,
- Experience with Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) guidelines,
- Experience with additive process simulation software,
- Experience with metal additive manufacturing technologies such as DMLS, EBM, DMLM, DMP, etc.,
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects,
- Strong oral and written communication skills,
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills,
- Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements,
- Demonstrated analytical, experimental and problem solving skills.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience on state of the art metal additive manufacturing systems such as GE Additive, EOS, 3D Systems, etc.,
- Hands on experience in additive manufacturing part and process development,
- Ability to identify and implement process control and process discipline methodology to additive manufacturing processes.
Job Description
Additive Manufacturing Technologies Engineer deals with implementing design for additive manufacturing guidelines, replacing conventional designs into AM designs, simulating additive manufacturing process for aviation components, supporting process development and key R&D initiatives.
- Primary focus will be on developing design for additive manufacturing methodologies including topology optimization and generative design for building components for use in Aviation sector.
- Generating novel technical ideas and developing technical solutions to address the needs for additive manufacturing technologies.
- Interfacing with external organizations and supporting functions to coordinate the project to accomplish overall goals.
