QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
Strength Analysis & Integrity department is looking for aeromechanical engineers who will assess the life and structural integrity of turbofan engine fan, compressor and turbine blades. The tasks shall also include methodology development for the lifing of aero-engine blades.
Responsibilities:
- Develop FEA models of rotor & stator airfoils (compressor & turbines),
- Perform vibration analysis of blades & vanes,
- LCF\HCF and Creep Analysis of aero-engine blades,
- Total Life Estimation of aero-engine blades,
- Support and enhance the development of aeromechanics analytical tools,
- Lead and evaluate aeromechanics testing of aero-engines including instrumentation definition,
- Developing subroutines in Matlab, Python, APDL or any other programming language,
- Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers,
- Preparation of analysis methods,
- Documentation of results, best practices and methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, MSc. or PhD in a related field is preferred,
- Fluent in English,
- 5+ year experience in the structural analysis (static and fatigue) and life calculation of gas turbine blades is preferred,
- Experience with NX Nastran, ANSYS or another FEM software,
- Experience in preparing test requests (static & fatigue), evaluating and documenting test results,
- Experience on related Military or Commercial standards (such as MIL-E-5007D,etc.).
