Sr. Android Developer
Job Summary
As a Sr. Android Developer for our Mobile and Web team, you will design, develop, and implement applications for our state of the art technologies and medical devices. As a senior developer you are ready and willing to mentor anyone and everyone and are dedicated to help everyone on the team reach their highest potential. Our software development team is writing code that actually matters: and is saving lives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead new projects, R&D endeavors, and Proofs of Concept;
- Design & develop advanced stand-alone applications and libraries as well as apps that connect to/use existing products;
- Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies ;
- Create, evaluate, maintain, and optimize internal coding standards & best practices
- Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes
- Mentor new team members, co-op students, interns, and peers alike;
Requirements:
- 7+ yrs. experience developing mobile applications for Android platforms;
- Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and the Android platform;
- Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities;
- Strong architecture and design modeling;
- Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts;
- Expertise in mobile application development tools and techniques;
- Ability to work in a very talented team locally and across the border as well as individually where needed;
- Strong sense of craftsman pride to get things done & doneright;
- Experience with Socket and/or Bluetooth programming is a plus;
- Experience with OpenGL is a plus;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
