Application Specialist

As an Applications Specialist in the EMEA Application Team, you will be responsible to provide high level customer service and provide solutions over different channels as per defined processes, to our business and customers as well as supporting various day-to-day running of our key applications across the region.

Our Application Team is still evolving, and you will be given an opportunity to be involved in the development of processes and practices.

Your responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Application Specialist and Business Analyst to deliver high quality support
  • Ensure tickets are kept up to date with progress at a level they could be picked up by anyone in the team
  • Daily monitoring and health check of the system
  • Provide regular updates to users and the team lead, users and stakeholders on progress with items, escalating issues where required
  • Creating promotional material, maintain documentation
  • Reviewing and updating knowledge base and product guides
  • Undertake projects, completing assigned tasks as necessary and adhering to the timeframes defined within the SLAs
  • Acquiring detailed knowledge of Kerry’s business, processes, and IT applications

Your profile

  • IT-related degree or equivalent business experience
  • Experience in help desk environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience assisting users/customers over instant message, voice or video call
  • Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, anticipate issues, and respond to unforeseen problems
  • Team player able to work constructively with project managers, business analysts, developers, suppliers, testers, business stakeholders and management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proactive, assertive, and persistent attitude with drive and commitment to achieve results
  • Passionate about quality customer service and have a problem-solving mindset
  • A passion to learn and develop
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Support or similar roles

Desirable Knowledge

  • Experience in SQL
  • Experience in Power BI
  • Experience of Agile toolsets such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Any experience gained in e-commerce or logistics or supply chain is highly advantageous
  • Technical aptitude i.e., interesting in data, data flow, database, programming and application testing
