QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Yapıchem Kimya San. A.Ş. is a leading construction chemicals producer in the global construction market with three production facilities and headquarters located in Turkey and a wide export sales network.We are looking for a Research and Development Specialist for our rapidly growing organization to head our R&D department located in our main factory in Tuzla, Istanbul. The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
Qualifications
- BS degree in Chemistry from a reputable technical university
- MSc Degree or PhD in organic chemistry
- Advanced knowledge of polymer science
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Self-motivation and willingness to work in various R&D areas
- Resident of the Anatolian Side of Istanbul (Preferably near Tuzla Region)
Job Description
- Managing existing R&D projects and creating new projects as per business goals.
- Improving existing conditions and processes, by working on new/alternative raw materials, cost-cutting measures, new formulations, reactions, compounds, product performance enhancements and all applicable R&D goals.
- Following local and international developments in the industry, the necessary technical literature, related patents, and customer feedback to stay current in project development.
- Working closely with production, product development, purchasing departments and conducting feasibility studies to ensure success of R&D projects.
- Preparing project files to apply to R&D funds and grants when the project scope and particulars call for it.
- Following intellectual property laws, R&D related laws, legislations, and grants.
