QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Research And Development Specialist
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
· Graduated in Textile, Material Science & Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry or closely related fields, would be advantage a masters or PhD.
· Very good command of written and spoken English
· Minimum 2 years of experience in related fields
The job requires:
· Strong technical skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure all aspects of projects are clearly understood and well documented
· Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to work effectively across multiple functional departments
· Managing time efficiently and having flexible attitude towards changing priorities
· Demonstrating ability to work individual, team worker with a strong focus on delivering results and identifying alternative solutions when challenges arise
· Dealing with ambiguous, diverse circumstances where conflict may be a factor
· Self motivated, positive and energetic, creative, eager to learn continuously
· Customer oriented problem solver who can identify the root causes and recommend/apply corrective actions
· Search and analyse technical literature for knowledge expansion, understanding the competitive landscape and translate these into new developments.
· Participating in projects with suppliers regarding new raw materials.
· Focus on customer needs and product concepts, launch support and serve as a key resource this area.
