QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Bayer EMEA Row Crops Production Organization is seeking a highly motivated ASP Process Engineer to join the Turkey Mustafakemalpaşa site team. The ASP Process Engineer reports to the Plant manager and is a member of the MKP Site Leadership Team.
He/She will daily work under the responsibility of the plant manager and have a broad exposure with the EMEA Facility Process Improvement and Digital Manufacturing teams to follow-up the process data from our plant data systems. Analyze these data and make recommendations for improvement. He/She will also troubleshoot as 1st line our automation and plant systems.
Engineer will lead the continuous improvement efforts focused on process optimization and seed quality. The successful candidate will need to be able to adapt quickly to changes in our business, courageously face new challenges and opportunities, and leverage the talents, skills and resources of team members and peers.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow-up of the daily data information resulting from our process systems
- Strong ownership of OEE system and data to be followed, understand, and improve,
- Analyze these production data, present to plant manager and make recommendations to sustain or improve.
- Support the plant operations by tracking performance metrics, resolving production and downtime issues, and ensuring the site(s) are capable of meeting daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly business objectives
- Assure the 1st line support of the automation and MES systems
- Capable of taking ownership to make recommendations to optimize the configuration the actual plant process systems like PLC systems, Scada (Automation) and MES (OpCenter Execution).
- Works closely with the European and site project engineers to implement improvement projects in the sites.
- Ability to communicate with a broad range of other departments (Engineering, Digital Manufacturing Team, Information Technology, SAP…)
- Dedicated 15% of time to field related projects to increase data driven digital approach
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of plant- and field operations and increase digital maturity.
- Participate in site budget development.
WHO YOU ARE
- Degree in Industrial-, Mechanical- or Electrical Engineering with experience in Automation, Process Control and Data Science is preferred.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgment
- Experience in a manufacturing engineering and/or technical environment
- Experience in digital plant, automation systems would be beneficial
- Managing vendor and contract relationships, ensuring the company receives maximum benefit and value
- Coordination and supervision of technical teams and external partners.
- Managing continuous improvement activities and ensure legal- and company policies and procedures are followed
- Have affinity or experience to analyze data with a statistical approach and make recommendations for improvement.
- Familiarity with general industry standards, tools and practices, like Lean, Six Sigma, WCM and OEE.
- Basic knowledge of automation systems is required,
- Previous seeds process experience, particularly with seeds handling equipment, seeds conditioning and drying systems is beneficial but not mandatory.

Advanced English language skills are required, Turkish is required
