GENEL NİTELİKLER

Our company seeks an Asset Management and Intraday Market Specialist to work as an asset dispatcher within the Energy Trading Department.
The candidate will join a team of dispatchers that have their own flexibility in optimizing the generation of Akenerji power plants with a total capacity of 1224 MW. He/She will be responsible to extract value from various electricity markets with the target to over-perform day ahead perfect dispatch. The candidate will gain a broad experience in optimizing hydroelectric and natural gas fired power plants.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or Business Administration,
  • At least 2 years of experience in Turkish power and energy market regulations,
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills in English,
  • Able to take risk and responsibility supported with technical analysis.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and preferably demonstrate understanding of advanced functionality,
  • Analytical minded, creative, open to changes and good communication skills,
  • Able to work under pressure for fast-paced, time sensitive environment and reporting deadlines (flexible hours required)


JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Scheduling sales/purchase portfolio considering DAM offers & OTC deals and managing Balancing Market, Ancillary Services processes,
  • Optimizing and dispatching 9 power plants of Akenerji and outsource origination power plants,
  • Coordinating with power plants operators, TEIAS, National Load Dispatch Center and EPIAS for the power plants,
  • Managing imbalances of power plants via trading in the Intra-Day Market,
  • Reporting on realized dispatch, P&L and plant forced outages,
  • Following the regulations of EMRA and TEIAS and monitoring on a daily basis electricity supply/demand, competitors outages and bids in the market,
  • Report and analyze to management all relevant energy regulatory changes and impact, lobby for changes via participating in various associations,
  • Work closely with other trading and internal teams.
