QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Meeting Point Turkey, the leading tourism agency, which has operations in 8 different regions of Turkey, is looking for a team member in the position of "Assistant General Accounting Manager" for its dynamic, success-oriented, highly motivated team.

About the Job

  • To lead accounting functions in the migration to a new accounting program (SAP)
  • Responsibility of improvement SAP skills of accounting team
  • To check recording of all invoices except invoices received from hotels for accommodation
  • To control fixed assets and record monthly depreciation amounts
  • To control all balance sheet items for month-end transactions (Prepaid Expenses, Income Accruals, Provisions and etc.)
  • To check printing of all legal invoices & make sure about their accounting records,
  • To prepare all accounting records of salaries and other personnel cost & expenses,
  • Responsible for month-end & year-end accounting transactions
  • To control and calculate month-end and year-end foreign currency valuation
  • To control balance sheet before monthly closing and to give approval for monthly reports to Controlling Department
  • To prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly all kind of tax declarations and necessary legal reporting
  • To control recording of commissions of Hotel guides.
  • To control of excursion sales from Tour guides and check accounting records of these transactions
  • Responsible from checking of reconciliation for excursion sales with guides
  • To control all invoices of the transfer and excursion suppliers and to check accounting records of these transactions
  • To control and close region’s accounting records
  • To control all accounting postings of bank transactions
About You

  • At least 5 years of experience in related field
  • Knowledge of SAP (FI module) is a must, to have actively used for at least 3-5 year
  • At least 4 years degree from a reputable university (business, economics etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Turkish Accounting Principles
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and open to self-development
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, results focused and attention to detail
  • Audit background is an asset
