QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for highly qualified and talented individuals to join our AVL Research and Engineering Turkey organization in Istanbul.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control / Automotive Engineering or related technical field is preferred
  • Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive controls and SW development
  • Fast learner, treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop
  • Good communication, presentation and planning skills
  • Willingness to frequent and long term travel abroad


And a good understanding of at least two of the following topics

  • System Dynamics, Modelling, Controller Design and Algorithm Development
  • Model based SW development with MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE/ETAS Tools, HiL Simulators
  • Electrified Powertrains (Hybrid & Electric Vehicles, Electric Machines, Power Electronics, Transmissions, Batteries, Fuel Cells, Networks and Diagnostics)
  • Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Autonomous Driving
  • Safety and Cybersecurity Standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ISO 21448)


Job Description:

Automotive Control Systems Engineers develop state of the art algorithms, functions, systems for upcoming vehicles with electrified powertrains, automatic transmissions, driver assistance and autonomous driving features as well as engineering software and tools to support efficient development of such software and features.

Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Systems engineering and system analyses
  • Requirements engineering/management at system and/or component level
  • Model-based algorithm/SW development in MATLAB/Simulink environment
  • Hand-coded algorithm/SW development whenever/wherever necessary (e.g. in C/C++)
  • Test case development and systematic Model-in-the-loop and Hardware-in-the-loop testing at system and/or component level
