A Backend (Scala) Engineer in Insider day in and day out:
- designs, implements and maintains APIs and services,
- collaborates with other engineers and teams to build new features at scale,
- debugs issues across services and multiple levels of the stack,
- monitors performance, throughput, latency and SLA to build and maintain the services.
We want you to join us while we are taking a step into the future if you:
- graduated from Computer Engineering or a similar department,
- have experience developing microservices using Scala, preferably Akka, Java,
- have good knowledge in developing or managing event-driven architecture or microservices,
- have experience with NoSQL databases in a production environment such as Elasticsearch, Cassandra/ScyllaDB, Redis etc.,
- have 2+ years of experience in building/operating highly available APIs,
- have good knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations,
- preferably have experience with AWS or other cloud services,
- preferably have experience developing Serverless technologies or working with technologies such as: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Kinesis,
- preferably have experience with machine learning platforms,
- have advanced English skills.
