QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronic Communication Engineering,

Good communication skills,

Excellent command of written and verbal English,

Competent in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Programmes,

Preferably experienced or junior (experienced candidates in related area will be prioritized),

Proficient utilizing electrical CAD packages for Schematic entry and design, such as Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or similar,

Experience with serial communication protocols, such as RS-232, I2C, SPI, USB,

Experience with high power semiconductor selection (Si/SiC/GaN MOSFET’s, Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design,

Small signal modelling of DC/DC converters. Drive circuit, switching MOSFET, DC-link, parasitic, current and voltage sensing, snubbers, short circuit detection,

Good experience with design analog/digital circuits and micro-processors,

Understanding of Battery Management System algorithms including state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH) and Safety Functions,

Ability to debug firmware running on PCBA hardware, using oscilloscope and other lab equipment,

Experience Li-ion Battery cell chemistry characteristic BMS hardware design is a plus,

Solid and previous hardware or system experience (calculation, simulation and analysis of hardware modules and functions),

Knowledge about EMC, ESD and thermal constraints with direct application in schematic and PCB layout design is an advantage,

Process-oriented, structured and analytic,

For male candidates, military service must be completed,

Prone to teamwork, open to communication,

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Battery Management System hardware development,

Architect and design battery Pack for EV application, solar application, Energy Storage application,

Collaborative work in a team environment,

Work the development of high/low voltage battery pack system hardware with full understanding of battery electrical architectures and mechanical system integration,

Support the definition and execution of: functional requirements, system boundaries, component & subsystem interface, electrical component sizing and performance tracking,

Provide technical guidance to quality and reliability engineering and assist with PFMEA /DFMEA activities,

Works on specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, new project acquisition, preparation of target design specifications, technical plans battery system hardware and component development and testing, data analysis and validation,

Supports/ensures data quality and writes technical project reports,

Reviews project for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements, including opinions and interpretations,

Coordinates activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering test issues. Technical lead for mechanical design and specifications for lithium ion battery cells.
