QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a “Big Data Engineer” for our consultancy project.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Software Engineering. or Ph.D. would be a plus),
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BigData technologies and the development of complex software systems,
• The position is located in in Ankara ODTÜ Teknokent.
• Being comfortable in test-driven development, agile methodologies, and Git workflow (Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) is a plus)
• Experience in Apache Spark / Apache Flink / Apache Kafka / Apache Hadoop
• Experience in Machine Learning Algorithms,
• Strong knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java and Python (Scala, Go, is a plus) with a neat understanding of software architecture design in general,
• Deep hands-on development and operations experience with AWS cloud platform, (Terraform based IoC is a plus)
• Hands-on experience in implementing data pipelines as of Lambda Architecture,
• Knowledge in streaming data processing and integration with Spark and Kafka streaming and AWS Kinesis,
• Deep knowledge in Kappa and Lambda architectures,
• Experience in real-time ETL and integration,
• Experience in immutable and unbounded data streams,
• Experience and knowledge in microservices architectures,
• Broad experience in back-end frameworks,
• Thorough understanding of SQL & NoSQL database systems,
• Strong knowledge of networking & light-weight messaging protocols,
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English
• Following and adapting the market trends and new technologies,
• Outside the box thinking ability,
