We are looking for a “Biodiversity Expert” to work with Environmental and Sustainability Department at Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High Standard Project.
Job Description
- Good understanding and practical experience in IFC Performance Standard 6 and Biodiversity Management Plan,
- Ensuring compliance to project Environmental-Social Impact Assesment, Environmental-Social Action Plan and Biodiversity Action Plan requirements,
- Experience in critical habitat assessments, biodiversity offsetting and net gain,
- Undertaking biodiversity survey/monitoring and analysing the data,
- Following and supporting preparation of periodic E&S reports and giving necessary trainings to project teams,
- Providing guidance to the Lenders and Lenders’ Environmental and Social Consultant during site surveys,
- Participate in ecological pre-construction surveys and prepare assessment reports,
- Maintain relationships with technical and other project-level functional groups to coordinate integration of project-specific ecological requirements.
Requirements
- Good knowledge on IFC PS6,
- Bachelor Degree in ecology, biology, zoology, botany or directly related subject,
- Minimum 5 years site experience in a company/project that utilized international finance,
- Fluent English in both spoken and written,
- Having valid drivers’s licence and actively driving,
- Good command of MS Office Applications.
