QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri A.Ş. (CBI) is owned by First Quantum Minerals Ltd. which is an established and rapidly growing mining and metals company .CBI is an underground mine and produces copper and zinc in Madenli, Çayeli in the Province of Rize. During the life of the operation, CBI has continuously looked for opportunities to enhance its reputation and performance through the application of leading international practice in all areas of its business. CBI is sensitive to the environment, respectful to the local people and one of the leading enterprises in terms of its technical infrastructure in the Turkish mining sector.
We are looking for our new ore for developing our powerful and dynamic labor force.
The ideal candidate is required to have the following qualifications:
- Minimum BS degree in Chemistry.
- Good knowledge of Inorganic Analysis, Instrumental Analysis (AAS, ICP OES, XRF and etc.).
- Experience in ore and mineral analysis is preferred.
- Available for three shifts and weekend works.
- Good knowledge of ISO 17025 accreditations works.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Experience in application of:
Ore, minerals, rocks, water and soil sampling procedures. Registering the samples assayed, stored in the laboratory and / or shipped for assay in outside laboratory facilities.
Preparing work reports, daily assay reports, staff and workers reports and consumption reports on daily basis. Assisting in maintaining a computerized data base of all assay data.
- Able to work outside the laboratory for sampling and field tests, when necessary.
- Ability to perform research to improve assay and sampling techniques and safety in the laboratory.
- Ability to apply continuous quality control program for the laboratory works.
- Having knowledge of MSDS preparation and review.
- No military obligation for male candidates.
