Safir Group supplies premium salt to the wholesale, retail, and consumer markets throughout the world.

We are just getting started. The Turkish mines will be expanded, furthermore the most modern evaporated salt plant in Turkey is already under construction. Do you want to play a key role in the transition of Safir Group to one of the leading worldwide salt producers?

We are looking for a:

Chief Technical Officer

In this position you will be a member of the board in a very close relation to the CEO, CFO and COO.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for raw salt and brine production in the two underground mining operations inÇankırı and Kırıkkale (currently approx. 40 employees)
• Responsible for evaporated salt (PDV salt) and rock salt production at the Çankırı salt works (currently approx. 80 employees)
• Assumption of project management for the Çerikli salt works currently under construction (start of production January 2023)
• Responsible for safety measures at all sites
• Responsible for maintenance at all sites
• Establishment of a maintenance department based on TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
• Management of the departments Project Management, Business Development and Laboratory
• Responsible for internal and external audits and compliance with regulations and standards
• Monthly reporting on production figures, production costs, project progress, project costs, accident statistics etc.

Qualifications:

• Technical University degree (Process Engineering or Mining)
• 5 – 10 years professional experience in process engineering or mining
• Fluency in Turkish and English, additional command of the German language preferred
• Organized and able to work under pressure, agile with MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other special IT tools like AutoCAD, surpac etc.
• Management experience in an international environment & strong ability to motivate a team
• Strong personality, high resilience and persistence
• Strong self-confidence and self-esteem
