GENEL NİTELİKLER

Manage and coordinate the daily operations and activities of Collaboration Space (Co-Space). This work includes but is not limited to staffing and supervision of employees, providing administrative and logistical support, fostering partnerships within the community, managing, and supporting the equipment (3D printers, Laser Cutters, 3D Scanners etc.). The position will assist faculty, staff and students with projects using the equipment provided in the Space. The position will provide expert level support on both the hardware and software platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will:

· Provide consulting services for undergraduates, graduate students and faculty engaged in making in a variety of academic disciplines.
Maintain the Co-Space equipment so that it is functional and safe, and manage inventory.

· Staff the Co-Space including during some evening hours, and work a flexible schedule that enables student-centered programs.

· Brainstorm, explore, plan, implement, and support programming.

· Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for a diverse group of students and faculty.

· Manage and coordinate the daily operations of Co-Space. Manage and maintain resources for the Co-Space, including equipment, software, and materials. Organize and maintain inventory of both consumable and non-consumable supplies.

· Assist students, faculty, staff, and guests with the use of the technology equipment found in the Space.

· Provide expert level support to the equipment used in Co-Space.

· Provide expert level support in the use of software application used to support the efforts of the innovation center.

· Advise visitors and provide basic training to maximize their ability to utilize Co-Space tools, features, and resources.

· Design and develop outreach materials for use by students and educators. Plan and coordinate educational outreach events each semester.

· Enforce policies and procedures regarding safety, training, use of equipment, and access to the space.

· Collaborate with staff and others on events and activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design or related fields

Experience: At least 6-7 year work-related experience

  • Experience developing and delivering innovative maker programming.
  • Experience in maintaining budgets and reports.
  • Experience with supervising and training staff.
  • Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following: rapid prototyping (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), art and craft projects, electronics tinkering and creative technology (computer programming for creative applications, IOT, VR, AR, interactive media,
  • Experience supervising students,
