QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Core Competencies
· Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Physics or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education.
· Self-starter with an enthusiastic and flexible attitude to a changing work environment.
· Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Extensive knowledge of Turkish power and gas market, at least 5 years in the application of this capacity to support value creation.
· Have the experience and relationships needed to remain ahead of the competition.
· Have extended market related connections.
· Fluency in English both spoken and written.
· Excellent knowledge of statistics and operational research
· Good conceptual and organizational know-how
· A great team player who can grasp new topics quickly, think analytically
· Typically possesses five or more years of experience in development in asset optimization and/or Turkish Power Market(s)
· Demonstrated experience with managing the positions of sizable asset in Turkish Power Market
· Must demonstrate effective results delivery, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
· Must demonstrate strong ethics, leadership, interpersonal skills, ability to effectively manage stress, and engage in continuous learning
· Communicate with plant operation team smoothly.
· Management Systems knowledge
· Ability to deliver to tight timescales and prioritise workload
Typical Responsibilities
· Optimize the power plant utilization and keep an eye on all available markets
· Managing the available position and dispatching the power plant with objective of maximizing the revenue generated
· Developing the strategies on power sales channels & gas supply
· Establishing/improving relations with all possible gas importers/wholesalers to generate additional value
· Having P/L responsibility
· Long term planning of the power plant’s power and gas position
· Managing and following the development of CAO team
· Coordinating with CAO teams in the UK and other possible RWE companies.
· Following risk management concept
· Commercial planning power plant outages
· Having coordination and communication with the transmission system operator and distribution system operators to ensure constant power generation
· Helping development of forward and spot markets by providing necessary capacity and delivering demanded power
· Preparing budget and forecast reports
