Contract Specialist Job Profile

We are looking for dynamic, pro-active, analytical approached, enthusiastic, innovative, and self-motivated Contract Specialist for our project in Develi/Kayseri.

Jop Profile

  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of the company best practices and Procurement strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance,
  • Being awareness of global and company HSE rules and apply to all his/her work,
  • Providing the communicational link between technical and commercial departments,
  • Creation of cost reduction suggestions to support/ increase company profitability,
  • Solving the discrepancies that may occur during the contract execution/preparation process,
  • Sourcing new contractors/ suppliers,
  • Documenting and archiving of contracts,
  • Providing contract summaries and ensuring contract execution in accordance with company policy,
  • Participating in proposal preparation, review, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications,
  • Ensuring that contractor is following legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations,
  • Driving Kick Off Meetings between Suppliers/Contractors and related/requester department,
  • Managing performance of Suppliers/Vendors based on the defined KPI’s by Management,
  • On all standard and nonstandard contracts, providing indispensable recommendations and negotiating close and directly with clients’ attorneys or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached,
  • During the contract processes if any necessity occurs, getting legal support by collaborating with the legal advisors,
  • Explaining terms and conditions to managers and interested parties,
  • Analyzing potential risks involved with specific contract terms,
  • Staying up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed,
  • Maintaining correspondence and documentation related to contracts,
  • Ensuring contract close-out, and in any necessary case to ensure extension or renewal,
  • Ensuring all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met (e.g., payments and shipping),
  • Developing and implementing procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with the company policy,
  • Creating language standards for existing and new contracts.
  • Being responsible of other related duties as assigned by Supply Chain Department Management Authority.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering,
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience on Procurement & Contracts Management– Mining experience is a plus,
  • Fluent in English in both written and verbal communication,
  • Problem solving and decision-making skill,
  • Being strong communicator and having good negotiating skills,
  • Having Contract Administration skills,
  • Good command of MS Office Applications and ERP systems, SAP knowledge will be plus,
  • Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach and good interpersonal skills,
  • High standards of accuracy, proficiency at working with strict deadlines and under pressure, and ability to prioritize tasks,
  • Proactive and able to work independently, but also as part of a team,
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, financial reports, and technical documents,
  • Having deep understanding of contracts, contract governance and contractual language, by using excellent negotiating and persuasive skills with a commercial awareness,
  • Having high efficiency in written and spoken communication skills, organization, planning, monitoring, and reporting,
  • Good understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and occupational, safety and environmental regulations and law,
  • Working experience in multinational and English-speaking environment,
  • Being completed military obligation for male candidates,
  • Residing in Kayseri Develi district or willing to relocate.
