QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Omya is a leading global producer of industrial minerals – mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite – and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. We seek for a Credit & Collections Supervisor and the ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications and skills:
The position will be based in Istanbul.
General Qualifications:
- University degree in Business & Administration/Finance etc.
- Min. 5 years of experience in credit controlling and cash collection
- English
- SAP FI knowledge
- Strong excel knowledge
- Team working, good communication skills and ability to respect deadlines
- Having business mind
Job Description:
- Managing Accounts Receivables
- Supervise timely collection of open balances on assigned portfolio of customers
- Strictly follow-up overdue balances and sending regular reminders to customers
- Define credit limits for customers based on company rules
- Perform delivery approvals in Salesforce & SAP based on credit limits.
- Prepare monthly aging reports and DSO analyses
- Perform credit risk analysis and collect credit worthiness ratings of new & existing customers
- Managing the relations with credit insurance companies
- Follow up of bad debt files with lawyers
- Timely informing Finance Director of perceived risk of bad debt
- Work closely and with strong cooperation with Sales teams
