QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for Data Scientists to join our growing Data Science team. The ideal candidate will help VeriPark’s product and engineering teams to improve VeriPark products with the help of Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics.
Your primary focus will be in building, implementing machine-learning models, automating machine-learning pipelines, deploying, and integrating these models and pipelines with VeriPark products.

· Researching and devising advanced analytics techniques to solve emerging client needs
· Working with other engineering teams to collect data that is relevant for building analytic systems
· Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
· Engineering and selecting features, building and optimizing predictive models using machine-learning techniques
· Implementing analytical models into production by collaborating with software developers and data engineers
· Developing processes and tools to automate and monitor end-to-end machine learning pipelines
· Helping presales teams for showcasing VeriPark analytics products to prospective clients
· Working with implementation teams to ensure that models underlying analytics products works as expected
· Preparing documentation and training materials, and educating client teams
· Coaching and guiding junior members of VeriPark Data Science team
· Keep current with technical and industry developments
Skills / Requirements
· 1 - 5 years of professional experience manipulating data sets and building advanced analytics models
· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or another quantitative field
· Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
· In-depth understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as GLMs, Decision Trees, Tree Ensembles, SVM, Neural Nets etc.
· Experience using Python and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
· Experience with Scientific Python Libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn etc. and common Python data science frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, and PyTorch.
· Experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau etc.
· Preferably experience in using Hive, Impala, PySpark/SparkSQL to query big data sources
· Preferably experience in using MS Azure Cloud solutions for analytics use cases
· Preferably experience in banking and financial services
· Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
· Good scripting and programming skills
· Team player with great communication skills
