QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Eureko Sigorta is an international insurance company with a leading position in its field thanks to its expertise at damage management and risk assessment. It operates as a member of Achmea, one of world’s largest insurance partnerships with 22.000 employees in 6 countries of Europe.
We are currently looking for a Database Administrator.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields
· Good verbal and written skills in English
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL, PostgreSQL as a Database Administrator
· Knowledge of NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch) is plus
· Knowledge of data replication and related technologies (such as Oracle Data Guard, SQL Always On, Percona mySQL) is plus
· Knowledge in database vulnerability and database activity monitoring (DAM) is plus
· Passionate about technology
· Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Self-motivation, attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
· Eager to learn and stretch boundaries
· Thorough with strong analytical skills
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Managing all database instances including installation, configuration and maintenance
- Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance
- Perform all database maintenance and tuning activities to ensure continued availability and performance
- Diagnose and resolve database performance and access issues
- Provide technical leadership on database systems and solutions. Provide individual mentoring and training on databases and tools. Recommend, test, and evaluate new technologies, software tools, and required skill sets; recommend and implement improvements
- Monitor and analyze database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes
