QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Client, with its 12,000 employees in more than 20 different countries is a global automotive equipment and systems manufacturer specialising in fluid management and mechanisms, It offers state-of-the-art industrial and technological expertise in applying and processing materials (plastics, rubber, metal) and mechatronic integration.
As their recruitment consultants, we are looking for a Design Engineer (Expert on Pedal Box) for their Bursa, Turkey manufacturing facilities.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- The Design Engineer, while paying careful attention to risks, is responsible for conducting the design process and developing new products based on the standards, specifications and QCD objectives.
- Product Design Process
- Oversees and validates the product design in compliance with the business rules.
- May manage one or several projects.
- Manages the functional analysis and product failure mode analysis (FMEA).
- Ensures the application of standards.
- Formalizes the design requirements to our suppliers.
- Presents internally and externally (customers) the adopted technical solutions.
- Responsible for establishing the Design Office plan and budget, and ensuring the product design conformity with specifications and customers’ expectations.
- Contributes to maintain and develop the knowledge and expertise within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Takes an active role in technical meetings, project reviews.
- Manages plan developments and ensures the follow-up of existing products.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 4-years of higher education in Technical Science (Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, etc…)
- Minimum 5-years of active experience in related field.
Professional abilities
- Rigor, autonomy, sense of initiative, creativity, interpersonal skills, respect for confidentiality, effective teamwork skills, 3D visualization skills;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Command of office automation systems and MS Office (Portal, PDM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint…) ;
- Very Good command of the English language is required ;
- Ability to persuade.
Technical knowledge:
- Command of CAD tools (CATIA), ISO design and drawing standards ;
- Deep understanding of plastics and metal part engineering and, in particular, design rules;
- Experience with functional analysis and product failure mode analysis (FMEA).
