QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will be reporting to EHS Director.
Responsibilities:
- Check the EHS aspects of the works, identify the hazards, assess the risks and ensure that control measures are implemented in order to maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all the employees by taking into account the legislative, industry and JTI Global EHS requirements.
- Prepare and follow up the global/local monthly EHS reports, legally required reports and coordinate with the related departments. Monitor the deadlines of legal permissions' and prepare the renewal applications.
- Initiate and support EHS projects, programs and campaigns and ensure EHS aspects of the projects are in line with global and local EHS standards.
- Ensure Operating and Capital Expenditures are in line with Annual Strategic Plan.
- Develop & conduct health and safety trainings & orientation programs for the employees, contractor, trainees and ensure the EHS standards are properly implemented.
- Identify the hazards and implement the risk assessment processes and the appropriate control measures to reduce these risks.
- Maintain EHS Management System in line with ISO 45001 & 14001 standards to retain certification.
- Assist fully in the investigation of incidents and near misses by focusing on root cause analysis and preventive actions. Prepare and coordinate Emergency Response Plan in line with local and global guidelines.
- Follow up and coordinate EHS CAPAs (Corrective and preventive actions). Monitor and analyze inputs for effective EHS programs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree in Engineering, preferably from Environmental Engineering,
- Minimum 2 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment,
- B or C Class Safety Expert Certificate,
- Environment and Risk Assessment knowledge
- Advanced level of English knowledge,
