QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Our global client which is the leading supplier of coatings for industrial applications is looking for an "EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Leader” with the following requirements for its production facility in Çerkezköy:

Requirements:

Education:

  • Engineering degree
  • A ClassCertified EHS professional
  • English: fluent (Spoken and written)
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (nice to have)

Experience:

  • 4-5 years of experience as Location Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) resource in Operation / manufacturing activities
  • 4-5 years of expertise in incidents investigation methodologies
  • 4-5 Years of expertise in one EHS management system requirements and execution (OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, RC14001, etc)
  • Experience in training to different organizational levels, procedures development and auditing

Functional competencies:

  • Country EHS regulations, policies and standards knowledge
  • Process safety requirements basics
  • Incident Investigation and Cause analysis methodologies.
  • Process Improvement: problem solving
  • 6 Sigma Green Belt (nice to have)
  • Project Management (nice to have)
  • Cost focus and financial awareness (nice to have)
  • ADR Certification (nice to have)
  • ISO 14001 or environmental studies certification (nice to have)


Job Description:

  • Provide EHS Expertise to the Site and area of influence of the Site (Satellite locations, Sales and technical personnel or employee or contractors working “at customer locations”.
  • Ensures and enables Safety, OH and Environmentalcompliance for the Site vs local regulation and Axalta Standards.
  • Management and administration of all “Right to Operate” permits, licenses and requirements from EHS point of view.
  • Timely and good quality fulfilment of all reporting requirements (internal and external).
  • Support development of critical EHS& S procedures for the Site and its area of influence.
  • Perform Task Risk Analysis for all the tasks performed at the Site or area of influence.
  • Prepare training documentation and plans and deliver all EHS related training to all employees and contractors.
  • Prepare EHS induction programs (for employees and contractors) and trainings as well as focused EHS trainings as required.
  • Own, plan and execute an EHS&S First Party audit program for the Site and coordinates and support 2nd and 3rd Party audit processes. Management execution of audits and findings as well as documentation.
  • Prepare, and keep up to date the Site Emergency Response Plan under guidance by Regional EHS Manager. Train all employees in the ER plan and coordinate the yearly testing and “life training”.
  • Manage and organize the Site Occupational Health program (legionella, dust and medicals testing for employees), Lighting and noise measurement programs at the areas, respiratory protection requirements, if any, Ergonomic surveys and improvement programs, Asbestos management programs, etc.
  • Coordinate the yearly medical examinations with Local HR and external service providers (or Company Doctor if available at the location).
  • Active participation and resourcing for EHS&S incident investigations, including supporting the root cause analysis and timely execution of all incident and near miss reporting within the Company selected software and tools.
  • Support and manage execution and proper documentation of corrective actions from incidents.
  • Administration and timely reporting (to location management as well as to EHS&S Management) of EHS&S KPIs and COTs for the location.
  • Manage RC14001 implementation, certification, and yearly Plant execution.
  • Manage, controls, supports, and fulfil reporting requirements (internal and external) for a Sustainability program in line with Corporate and local requirements.
  • EHS administration (Internal programs and performance metrics follow up and reporting)
  • Training of production, maintenance, Lab and offices Staff on Safety programs, Task Risks Analysis, Hazards of materials and EHS management processes.
  • Drive Security actions and plans for the location under the guidance of EHS&S management.
  • Liaise with corporate EHS&S Management and with Corporate Competency leaders in a proactive manner for functional support when required.
  • Work with approved external consultants in a constructive and open way when required.
  • Liaise with relevant EHS authorities and internal legal department when required.
  • Familiarize with EHS Standards and tools and act as facilitator for its use within the location / area of influence organization.
  • Support the business and the organization with any tasks required to enable or facilitate the integration (basic set up of EHS management processes, procedures and tools as well as deliver of basic training) of new Company Acquisitions.
  • Management and administration of OH activities (Entrance medicals, periodic medicals, departure medicals, back to work medicals, etc) in liaison with the Corporate Medical department.
