QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Electrical Estimating Engineer
International Group – Istanbul, Turkey
B.L. Harbert International LLC (BLHI), a USA based international design-build, construction management, and general contracting company, is looking for Electrical Estimating Engineer to work with the International Group in our Istanbul, Turkey office.Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Turkish and English.
Responsibilities:
· To review and assess the bid documentation and requirements to enable production of successful bid budget
· To identify and report on risk and opportunity/scope
· To obtain a suitable number of competitive quotations and complete related comparisons per each division
· To work collaboratively as a key member of the bid team
· To produce accurate estimates with full breakdowns
· Carry out Value-Engineering (VE) and Constructability Studies
· Carry out Construction Contract Administration (RFIs/Submittals/O&Ms/REAs, etc.)
· Carry out Quantifications of Material and Equipment
· Issue Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) as needed
· Be primary liaison between project teams and suppliers for all communication
· Support On-site Project Coordinators and Site Personnel as needed
· Coordinate vendor start-ups and commissioning as needed
Requirements:
· Turkish Citizen or Lawful Registered Resident
· 5+ years’ industry experience
· Ability to relocate to Istanbul, Turkey
· Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Preferences:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
· Experience in associated electrical scopes for OBO or other USA government agency construction
· Wide supplier and subcontractor knowledge, both local and global
· Flexible in approach to deadlines
· Commissioning and Balancing experience
· Troubleshooting experience
· Instrumentation and controls experience
· Shop drawing development experience
· BIM/3-D modeling experience
· Proficient with estimating/quantifying software such as: BluBeam Revu, On-Center-Takeoff (OST), Fast Est (FastDUCT/ FastPIPE), Trimble MEP or similar programs
· Experience in Warranty or Preventative Maintenance of Large Electrical Equipment
