QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
The Role:
The Electrical Specialist coordinates the Electrical design within the project and draw up and follow up on technical specifications with regard to Electrical to be used by the purchasing department. The Electrical Specialist ensures that the product/information provided by third parties fits within the product specifications, technical possibilities and planning of Damen and that Electrical suppliers and that our internal organization can carry out their engineering work.
Discipline activities
• Technical Subcontract management of all electrical installations/systems onboard, i.e. distribution lighting systems, Alarm and Monitoring, Propulsion Control systems, Navigation & Communication and Audio/Video and IT systems.
Key accountabilities
• Is added to a project by theManager of EngineeringDepartmentand receives the project objectives for himself from the Project Manager Engineering.
• Is involved in the RFQ process, prepares the required technical input.
• Ensure that a schedule for the delivery of technical supplier information is created, monitors it and adjust where necessary.
• Evaluates supplier engineering products (quotations) on specification and suitability. Drives suppliers on technical content.
• Speak to the suppliers, possibly in agreement with purchasing, on timely delivery of correct supplier information.
• Prepares technical specifications for the Purchase order and compile and maintain other related engineering documents.
• Consult with engineering project team members about the impact that systems andproducts to be delivered have on the technical design and assist as needed.
• Takes care of the vendor data management, is responsible for the distribution and administration of technical documentation of the (sub) suppliers.
• Follows-up on Management of integration and interfaces of electrical systems.
• On request, reviews requests for change orders and advises when drawing them up.
• Creates items in the engineering database, enters vendor information into theengineering database, and maintains these items and information.
• Is responsible for the approval of mandatory reports.
• Defines SAT protocols.
• Fulfills, where necessary, the function of coordinator within production in own field
Skills, experience and requirements:
• Knowledge at the level of Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of yacht building Electrical aspects.
• Knowledge of risk prevention, regulations, yacht execution details.
• Knowledge of and experience in the use of Autocad.
• Verbal and written skills in English.
• Eager to learn and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
• Result – oriented and strong monitoring and reporting skills.
• Living in or prepared to move to Antalya area.
• Ready to have business trips abroad.
• No military obligation for male candidates.
