QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Arvento Mobile Systems, the leading fleet telematics and M2M solutions company, is extending its Hardware R&D Team and looking for talented Embedded Linux Developer who are willing to work on embedded systems development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or any related discipline
• 5+ years of experience writing embedded firmware from low level drivers to high level application development in C and C++
• Expertise in installing and configuring embedded operating systems, especially Linux
• Experience with implementing and debugging low-level drivers and communication protocols for hardware serial interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C and RS232.
• Structure and coding Knowledge of C, C++, and java on Unix/Linux/Windows
• Knowledge on source control tools such as Mercurial, GIT
• A highly motivated individual able to work in a multi-discipline and multi-culture global organization as a driven teammate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with STM32 processors, ARM Cortex-M based processors is a plus

Job Description

• Developing custom BSPs and adapting the Linux operating system to diverse products
• Participation in a design team supporting the software development for an electronics subsystem, board-level design, electronics subsystem integration, and system-level testing
• Programming, solving and debugging with detailed knowledge in multi-threaded programming environment, software application or device layer programming on Linux OS
• Working with manufacturing service teams to support a smooth product transition into manufacturing and the field
