QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Turkey’s leading building material manufacturer Çimsa is operating with its 5 integrated plants in Mersin, Eskişehir, Kayseri, Niğde, and Afyonkarahisar, a grinding facility in Ankara.

As one of the first two brands in the world in white cement, Çimsa is an international cement manufacturer with its terminals in Houston (USA), Hamburg (Germany), Trieste (Italy), Sevilla and Alicante (Spain), Famagusta (T.R.N.C.). In the second quarter of 2019, Çimsa signed the agreement for the acquisition of Buñol, the white cement plant with Europe's most advanced production technology.


For our growing organization, we are currently looking for a strong profile to join our team as Energy Leader.


The Energy Leader will plan, regulate and monitor the energy use in an organisation or facility. The aim is to improve efficiency by evaluating energy use and putting in place new policies and changes where needed.


She/He will coordinate all aspects of energy management, from reduction of carbon dioxide emissions to waste management and sustainable development.


Job Description

  • Developing, coordinating and implementing strategies and policies to reduce energy consumption
  • Setting the right governance and structure across the global organization
  • Encouraging the use of renewable and sustainable energy resources within an organisation or community and raise the profile of energy conservation which to be supported by companies short/long-term objectives
  • Developing solutions for carbon management
  • Creating policies and systems for buying energy and helping with contract negotiations
  • Providing technical and practical advice and offer training on energy efficiency
  • Liaising and negotiating with the third parties such as contractors, energy council services and other relevant organisations
  • Keeping accurate records and regularly collect energy monitoring data
  • Monitoring site based performance and develop improvement plans together with site responsibles
  • Carrying out site inspections and energy surveys
  • Benchmarking energy consumptions against best practice guidelines
  • Keeping up to date with legislation.



Desired Skills and Experience

  • Degree in energy department, (MS is preferred).
  • Preferably previous experience in mass production – especially cement production.
  • Aware of production performance indicators (KPI) systematics
  • Having experience about Root Causes Analysis and having an understanding of process development and efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate in written & spoken English in an understandable way.
  • Team player but also appreciative of a good mixture of personal responsibility and self-motivation.
