QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
GARIP & ZEYCAN YILDIRIM FOUNDATION LOOKING FOR ONLINE INTERACTIVE TEACHERS
English W/Tech is Turkey’s First FREE English Speaking Program for the Youth.
It is a non-profit program 100% funded by the Garip and Zeycan YILDIRIM Foundation to provide equal English education opportunities to all middle and high school students across Turkey.
Our aim is to provide free English education (ages 13-18), to all socio-economic backgrounds across Turkey, with an emphasis on speaking and conversation, who may not otherwise be able to afford it.
More than applying English speaking skills, our top priority is to encourage self-confidence within students while simultaneously teaching them to be inclusive, tolerant and respectful as they learn about world cultures, social issues, pop culture and mental health strategies to manage anxiety.
Our Vision: To raise visionary and well-rounded young people who will become independent thinkers, and fluent English speakers who will make our country more competitive in the international arena and become the visionary leaders and influencers of the next generation.

- Enjoy having sole responsibility and autonomy for the preparation and development of teaching materials, that favor tech savvy approaches and embed 3 dimensional activities that encourage inclusive learning activities.
- Deliver speaking lessons relevant to the age and ability of the group you teach.
- Are accountable for the attainment, progress and outcome of students using strategies of praise, while establishing a safe and stimulating environment, rooted in mutual respect through a set framework of disciplines.
- Aware of student capabilities, from prior knowledge, plan accordingly to differentiate from this demonstrating knowledge and understand how these learners learn.
- Demonstrate an understanding of English, and aim to take responsibility for promoting correct use of spoken English.
- Manage the class effectively, while using approaches that inspire, motivate and challenge students.
- A positive role model who demonstrates positive attitudes, values and behavior, which are expected of students.
- Treat students with dignity, build relationships that are rooted in mutual respect.
EXPECTATIONS
- To act within the framework set out by the Foundation, which guides you through professionalism, your duties and your main responsibilities.

- Prepare original lessons via a slideshow to teach lessons that are each 45 minutes in length
- To work proactively and effectively in collaboration with learners, other teachers and the administration in the best interests of all your students
- To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people on this program.
Do You Hold The Following Teaching Qualifications?
- Bachelor's degree or higher in English language education.
- An internationally recognized certificate for English language teaching.
- Native or native-like English skills.
- Online Teaching Experience, 2+ years
- Flexible with the teaching hours.
