We are looking for an Environmental Engineer for theRegional Quality and Environment Management under Şişecam Quality Operations Directorate located in Tuzla / Istanbul;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering
- Must have Environmental Officer Certificate
- Minimum 2 years of field/plant experience in environmental engineering
- Business proficiency level of English in written, verbal communication and reading.
- Environmental Impact Assessment, Waste, wastewater treatment plant & Emission Management knowledge and competency
- Expert in ISO 14001 EMS (Environmental Management System)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Continuous improvement and proactive approach
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing and presentation tools.
- No restrictions for domestic and international travels
- Have a driver license,
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regional Environment Engineer is responsible for ensuring and supporting effective communication between central functions and plants within his/her region.
- Coordinating plant level operations thru providing support in fields of environment.
- Ensure communication between central functions and plants within his/her region to facilitate operations regarding environmental continuous improvement activities and good practice deployments.
- Monitor environmental legal compliance requirements in his/her region and data collection activities in plants in order to assist plants in tracking and aligning with the requirements
- Guide and follow environmental activities in his/her region, especially on environmental impact assessment and environmental emergencies
- Provide input to Regional Quality & Environment Supervisor for him/her to create daily, weekly, and monthly reports and analytics and provide support in the maintenance of these reports
- Assist Regional Quality & Environment Manager proactively for the achievement of best environmental KPIs’
- If necessary, cooperate and interact with employees from other regions/plants within other related functions.
