QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Koç University will be hiring a fixed term contracted (4 months) Exchange Programs Assistant Specialist / Advisor to Incoming Students for the Office of International Programs under the Dean of Students’ with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
- 1-2 years of experience in event planning, high-level administrative support or similar fields
- Experience in University’s Exchange Program/ Erasmus Office (desirable but not required)
- Experience with student groups is an asset
- Budget management experience is preferred
- Strong organizational and communicational skills
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
- Proficient in MS Office (especially in Excel) applications
- SAP knowledge is an asset
- No military obligation for male candidates
JOB DESCRIPTION
Comprehensive support for all matters pertaining to Incoming Exchange Students;
- Plan and implement new Incoming Student Orientation and Commencement
- Plan and implement student-led organizations
- Organize and improve the whole mentor selection and training procedures
- Coordinate, plan and implement student services for Incoming Students including application, admission, housing and course registration
- Collaborate with all offices including offices of the Registrar, Comptroller, Human Resources and Dormitory Management on the development and implementation of Incoming Exchange Student Services and Programs
- Counsel Incoming Exchange Students on issues surrounding academic and non-academic concerns
- Track student compliance with Academic and Non-Academic Regulations
- Assistance to coordination and development of Faculty and Staff exchange programs
- Support the organization of delegation visits & representing KU at national and international events
- Execute outreach efforts toward partner universities
- Reporting duties as requested
