Responsibilities
In general, tasks across roles may include
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
Providing and interpreting financial information
Maintaining the financial health of the organization
Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends
Analyzing change and advising accordingly
Formulating strategic and long-term business plans
Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
Analyzing competitors and market trends
Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
Managing a company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue
Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
Managing budgets
Arranging new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities
Supervising staff
Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be me
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure

Requirements
Proven experience as a Financial Manager
Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
Proficient user of finance software
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
