QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are steadily growing our business through the appraisal and development of our assets in the Kurdistan Region, and through value-accretive acquisitions, building a high impact exploration portfolio within the Middle East and Africa, while expanding our Kurdistan footprint.
The Finance Specialist will primarily be dealing with accounts payable/receivables processes and banking cycle, and also support the forecasting, budgeting processes and various finance projects. Participating in a number of different finance processes, the candidate is expected to have a solid accounting knowledge and prudent approach to the tasks assigned.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain payables register up-to-date
- Set up/follow up weekly payments
- Strict adherence to the company policies and procedures
- Work in direct relation with vendors and internal parties
- Follow up balance sheet accounts/ perform bank reconciliations
- Participate in month end closing activities
- Assist with auditing processes
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Turkish and English
- Big 4 experience is an asset
- Advanced Microsoft Office applications skills
- Strong critical and analytical thinking, multiple tasking and problem-solving skills
- Eager to learn and assume responsibility
- Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external parties, adapt to multilocational functional setting
