Frankie Istanbul opening at Galataport, is seeking for her executive chef



Frankie Istanbul at Galataport will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus , the melting pot of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the venue will feature 120 luxury covers indoor and a further 50 covers at the balcony which is heated in winter time for upmost comfort. Further to this floor , Frankie has a glamorous rooftop, which also features a spectacular view of ancient city and the Bosphorus bridge with a capacity of 200 hundred seats ,during the summer season. As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Frankie Istanbul is longingly seeking to hire a forward-thinking and creative Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations.

For this out of the box, all new Frankie Istanbul project; D.ream Turkey and Kaya Demirer – the founder of the brand, bring together their expertise on creating best lifestyle venues to produce a brand-new concept of Frankie mixture of an astounding culinary experience and an exquisite contemporary entertainment vision creating an unmatched experience for Istanbul’s new hot spot Galataport Project.

Key accountabilities



* Manage all aspects of the kitchen including pre-opening planning and post opening operations (budgeting, forecasting, capex resource planning, labour management, waste management, etc.), food quality and administrative functions.

* Create recipes and menus, in collaboration with our country culinary director & our brand owner , while taking into account the aspects of ; pricing in accordance with marketing, cost control, and profit objectives.

* Interview, hire , train and develop the skills of his/her culinary brigade while carefully supervising their performance and not overlook the potential talents, especially the youngsters.

* Anticipate and evaluate the market needs pertaining to the culinary expectations, considering the local market, guest mix, and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to ensure excellent guest experience.

* Continuously collaborate with our country culinary director and our brand owner to seek for the best produce at its correct season while supporting the artisanal producers.

* Instigate a continuous improvement mindset in the department to drive employee engagement while keeping the motivational spirit at its peak , and maintain market positioning with strong financial returns.

* Maintains and set adherence standards for product quality, consistency, attractive presentation, while respecting for the welfare of all living creatures at the nature .

* Develop positive customer relations through proactive interaction with Guests, strong Team spirit with all team members, contractors, and suppliers.

* Work in synergy and strongly collaborate with the Food and Beverage leader to ensure that the divisional targets are achieved and there is a healthy channel of communication

* Maintain the work environment and its surrounding areas in mint condition that meet the health and safety standards of our company regulations, and also stay in par with our food and work ethos.


General requirements


* Passion for food , passion for life , topped with a genuine attitude where hospitality comes from heart . A trustworthy land a disciplined eader.

* Minimum of 5 years in a similar position at a luxury restaurant or an hospitality group as an Executive Chef, or a senior sous chef.

* Experience working in the pre-opening of a restaurant is a strong preference.

* Exceptional creative abilities and extensive menu development and budget preparation experience

* Self driven , target oriented, a person who challenges the current status for higher achievements. On the other hand displays curiosity and has ample time to investigate , learn and understand the current and future culinary trends to always stay at the front line.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills to engage and motivate key stakeholders, especially colleagues. Strong heart and passion for creating exceptional guest and colleague experiences

* Fluency in English language proficiency is highly desirable , same applies for Turkish proficiency for our international applicants.
