A brief job description of the position and preferred qualifications for the suitable candidates are defined below;
Responsibilities
- Develop WordPress Plugins and Themes
- Integrate WordPress with 3rd party APIs
- Support the building of new features by creating responsive, highly performant WordPress API endpoints
- Write custom functions based on those defined in the WordPress Code Reference and knowledge of how/when to use WordPress hooks
- Writing clean, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way
- Expert-level knowledge of WordPress Core and theme and plugin development with a strong understanding of all commonly used web technologies - JavaScript (jQuery, Backbone.js), PHP, HTML, CSS, LESS
Qualifications
- 3+ years full-time experience with primary duties focus on web design and front-end development in a production environment
- Analytical thinker and problem solver, ability to come up with solutions to diverse problems
- Ability to create high-quality designs and build into a functioning browser compatible website, using proper markup, CSS, and argument with interactive features using JS, jQuery, etc.
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), & PHP
- Maintain familiarity with content management and eCommerce solutions such as WordPress, Shopify, and Magento
- Shopify development & liquid programming experience is plus
- Fluent English skills
