QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
The position is part of the European General Industrial Liquid Laboratory and reporting to Bursa Lab Leader. Responsible for supporting the team technically in HDE & Transco, APAF & Wheels, Plastic and GF market in Turkey. The position is required to work 80% in lab for R&D works in Lab and to work 20% for sale/customer support such as attending to customer trials, customer visits and meetings.
Requirements:
The main technical responsibilities as Chemist;
- Participate to color matching activities in laboratory
- Taking actions for cost saving studies in laboratory
- Coordination of performance tests for customer needs in laboratory and writing the reports
- Develop new paints for Turkish market according to projects decided through formal requests and business strategy
- Taking actions for problem solving activities in laboratory and if necessary, customer line and in production related to Industrial liquid products
- Participate to common actions in the laboratory and propose new actions to improve the work in common areas
- Contribute to improve the highest image of the technical team as perceived by the customer
- If it is necessary, visit the customer with Technical Sales and Service Representative to support the sale technically in customer for line trials or problem solving
- Support the production to improve paint production process, to solve problems in production. Follow the first production batch of new localized/developed or modified products.
- Support Quality Control and implement the specifications for quality control tests of new localized/developed or modified Liquid Industrial products
- Attending meetings with Sale and Product Management. Sharing the results / goals / technical status of ongoing projects
- Attending activities to implement and maintain of EH&S and 6S procedures to Laboratory. Ensure safe working standards in Laboratory
- Maintain close contacts and good collaboration with PPG Marly and PPG Cieszyn Liq Technical Team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from Chemistry Faculty
- Min. 3 years of R&D/Technical experience in coatings technology
- Fluency in English and good writing and speaking skills are mandatory
- Working in good collaboration with other employees
- Strong organizational skills with a high focus on results
- Ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
- Having ability to plan and organize well and to focus on result
