QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

  • We are looking for an experienced Group Marketing and Communication Manager for our local chain hotels located in Bodrum & İzmir.

Key responsibilities

  • Creates and organizes press promotional activities.
  • Work on a daily basis with local PR agency.
  • Proactively source innovative PR opportunities and collaborations to promote the hotel’s news and senior/brand spokespersons via high-profile media interviews.
  • Define core messages of the hotel and its outlets, develop press materials and brief spokespersons in preparation for media interviews.
  • Identifies new media platforms and build new marketing partnerships.
  • Maintain and strengthen the relationships with top-tier travel / trade, consumer lifestyle and local influencers, securing their attendance to the hotels events.
  • Work with 3rd party partners to explore events/happenings and promotion.
  • Partners with internal teams to execute promotions and campaigns that drive incremental revenue to the hotel.
  • Work closely with Operations Teams to ensure handling of any high profile media trips, VIP outreach and management.
  • Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.
  • Assist with all local promotional activities that support the needs of the hotel and restaurants/bars.
  • Supervise photo shoots and filming on property and communicate consistently with PR networks.
  • Provide weekly press results and bi-monthly evaluation of media exposure and public relation activities in collaboration with press office, including performance of campaigns along with return on investment statistics. Monitor media coverage and other external factors to identify potential or actual problem areas and opportunities.
  • Prepare or edit letters, invitations, monthly and quarterly press reports, and news releases, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Monitors activities of competitor hotels and trends within the industry
  • Respond to all daily general media inquiries or refer to an appropriate spokesperson.
  • Support media relations outreach efforts and other activities to bolster the property's reputation and image in the community.
  • Organising daily post for social media channels including Instagram, Facebook etc and creating a weekly posting calendar.
  • Coordinate on-property visits from media, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining. File and update press database, digital library, and press clippings.


SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Marketing and/or PR experience (3 - 4 years preferable)
  • Leadership skills and project management.
  • Experience managing external agencies (e.g. press, media, creative)
  • Skilled in innovative copywriting and editing.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure and exert lateral leadership.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Event management experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local & international market, media, current trends in Music, Fashion, Design, Entertainment and Travel.
  • Knowledge of social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and emerging channels)
  • Advanced computer skills and detailed knowledge of various computer programs, including a strong proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
