GENEL NİTELİKLER

We are looking for a fresh perspective to make library the hub of independent learning.

  • Relevant degree in library management, data and document management, or equivalent,
  • A recognized qualification in Library Services and at least 5 years of experience as a Head Librarian,
  • Electronic resource management skills,
  • Experience in academic library assessment and evaluation techniques,
  • Advanced English language skills,
  • Teaching degree (as an additional asset),
  • Experience in working with young people, ages 14-18, and their families,
  • Demonstrated ability in using MS Office, Google Suits, and Follett library planning/management system,
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills in establishing constructive relationships,
  • A confident public speaker capable of delivering presentations to groups of people,
  • Flexible with a growth mindset and lifelong learning,
  • Demonstrated ability in workplace management, and effective use of current resources.

Job Description

  • Determines goals and objectives and implements them through the library program as an integral part of the school curriculum.
  • Develops policies that meet curricular, informational, and recreational needs of students.
  • Works with appropriate personnel to develop a unified approach to the development of information systems within the school.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other library staff.
  • Keeps necessary records and statistics and writes reports on the status of the program.
  • Prepares justifies and administers the library budget.
  • Teaches information literacy (how to access, evaluate and use print and electronic information effectively) and literature appreciation skills to students.
  • Provides an orientation of library materials, organization, rules to new students.
  • Gives book talks.
  • Coordinates library instruction with class assignments.
