QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
VA TECH WABAG GmbH has it main activities in the areas of Water-, Wastewater and Plant Operation Projects as well as Desalinization and other advanced technologies for the treatment of any kind of water and wastewater in municipal and industrial areas. In the frame of our project activities, we principally support the civil engineering activities in the preliminary design phase of offers as well as during control during project execution, which request a close contact, communication and coordination with our partners, subcontractors and civil designers. The company activities are mainly in abroad projects, reason why we are focusing in a proper flexibility of our engineers including its fast adaptation to different cultural specifics of other countries.
Responsibilities
Taking an active role in technical and cost studies in the field of civil engineering
Conducting related civil engineering activities for project feasibility studies
Solving technical issues in related engineering fields
Coordinating the construction partner and subcontractor during the execution and offer project studies
Receiving the most convenient offers from suppliers, in terms of quality and prices, by taking contract and specifications into account, opening up procurement requests
Conducting quality and cost control activities of project execution subcontractors
Preparing technical specifications for the project, method reports, mobilization plans, adjunct accounts and documents in compliance with contracts, technical criteria of civil engineering and company standards
Preparing quality plans, system stabilization, identifying project and design criteria, creating calculation and reporting basis, creating guidelines in line with national and international standards, developing technical specifications covering process needs, maintaining executions in compliance with quality standards
Investigating technological developments and implementations in related fields, developing technical implementations
Planning the cost studies of civil project-based implementation technologies, preparing and controlling budget estimate and bill of quantities
Evaluating and controlling the procurement demands in a technical and cost manner
Providing support for managing the building site
Explaining technical issues, making technical and financial studies necessary for identifying the site execution vendors
Following the work-flow and work plans on project basis, working in close cooperation with project team and other related departments
Conducting quality control activities for related issues during the operation and guarantee period, receiving feedbacks
Providing support to the Purchasing Team in order to maintain the quality control activities of procurement activities and applications of suppliers
Making budget estimation and cost studies, receiving, analyzing and evaluating the offers
Monitoring the Draftsman’s drawings on project basis, entering revisions, ensuring the timely and qualified completion of tasks
Conducting improvement and reporting works for his process
Being obliged to perform tasks, given by his superior, within the scope of his training
