QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Health & Safety Manager
We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Manager in DSSmith Turkey Team who is support & advise the Cluster Management Team in all aspects of Health and Safety with a strong focus on implementing DSSmith Group initiatives, including developing & driving site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in HS performance in line with DSSmith Group Vision Zero mindset of zero accidents and incidents.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of knowledge working experience on Health & Safety,
· At least B class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate,
- Actively involved in field applications in manufacturing companies,have been worked in packaging industry is reason for preference,
- Experienced in ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems,
- Good command of MS Office applications,
- Experienced in machinery, equipment and risk analysis,
- Knowledge of international instruments aimed at reducing injuries (near miss, observation, risk assessment),
- To have a high sense of responsibility, to be open to research, learning, and education,
- Good communication and persuasion skills, high motivation,
- Excellent command of written and spoken English,
- Willing to residence in Istanbul,
Job Description
- Direct and co-ordinate the development and implementation of site’s Health and Safety strategy & program. Monitor and communicate on performance to improve decision making regarding Health and Safety and to integrate into business decisions.
- Ensure adherence to all DSSmith Group company principles, policies and requirements related to HS and ensure compliance with HS-related legal requirements. Develop and sustain a local network (including authorities, other factories, etc).
- Implement, control, maintain and improve the Site HS Management systems including achieving and maintaining ISO 45001 certification. Support this through developing and implementing specific tools and initiatives as part of the Site's Health and Safety program.
- Provide coaching & support to the Site Manager, Site Management team and Line Managers in order to achieve the Factory's Health and Safety objectives and to ensure Health and Safety becomes / remains a line management responsibility. Ensure that Health and Safety performance data is available and correctly managed.
- Organise the Site’s Health and Safety risk assessment program, including assessment, incident investigation, corrective action and auditing, as well as ensuring a focus on Behavioral Based Safety and culture.
