QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the hotel staff, contributes advanced knowledge and skill in technology and general hospitality business knowledge to support the hotel and technology Information Resources objectives. Position is responsible to the hotel for all technology planning, implementation, and maintenance. May manage hotel systems technicians and interfaces with vendors, owners, Executive Committee and hotel staff. Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Anticipate and address guests’ service needs. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Assistant Director of Finance and Director of Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the hotel PMS (Front Office).
  • Managing the hotel POS (Micros).
  • Managing the hotel Back office system (PS).
  • Managing the hotel F&B system (Micros).
  • Managing the hotel Payroll system.
  • Managing and troubleshooting the High Speed Internet Access.
  • Managing the hotel Call Accounting System.
  • Managing the hotel PBX system.
  • Managing the Back- up systems.
  • Managing the hotel hardware and software.
  • Managing the hotel infrastructure.
  • Managing the Software’s Licenses.
  • Updating the Schematic Diagrams.
  • Conducting the Contingency Plan and Communicating with all Departments with the Results Report.
  • Preparing the Annual Training Plan for the Hotel Staff.
  • Researches and develops computer software systems.
  • Plans, coordinates and implements preventive maintenance programs for all hardware and software.
  • Interacts with user departments to establish needs and operating systems.
  • Attends the staff orientation for the new staff and give an overview of the IT infrastructure. Underline the importance of “Software and Electronic Mail Agreement”.
  • Ensures secure storage of Software Licenses, TCP-IP roaster, Patching Schedule, Server Configuration Details, Interface PC details and location, Standard Client Image Specification, keep standards while installing software, watch for software updates.
  • Conducts ongoing training with existing staff and ensure that new staff is certified as required.
  • Assists other departments with computer related problems.
  • Assists in pilot project installations
  • Upgrades system and software.
  • Acts in computer hardware installations.
  • Prevents possible negative causes such as viruses, hack.
  • Follows fire and work safety regulations.
