Position Description

General Requirements

? Java developer with 2+ years of experience in Java development

? Preferably bilingual with good verbal and written English

? Interest in developing your programming skills by learning new languages, such as Go, will be

looked upon favourably.

Responsibilities

? Working as an active team member in an agile team and participating in the entire development

lifecycle, from requirements to delivery, and being a strong individual contributor in our team

oriented environment

? Implementing system enhancements and new features to support existing or new business

processes

? Applying both business and technical expertise to deliver customer focused technical support

? Providing technical expertise and contributing to redesigning and upgrading existing systems

? Complying with team software development processes

? Working closely with stakeholders to implement customer requirements

Position Requirements

Qualifications

? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent

plus a minimum 2 years of experience as a Java Developer

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

? Minimum 2 years commercial Java experience

? Spring Boot / Spring JPA experience

? Exposure to at least some of the following:

o Documenting and building APIs, e.g. JSON, RESTful

o Production RDBMS, e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL

o CI/CD tools, e.g. GitLab CI/CD or equivalent

o Amazon Web Services; e.g. EC2, S3, Elastic Cache, KMS, RDS

o Container tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

o Microservices e.g. Api Gateway, IAM.,

o Some payment / authentication industry experience beneficial but not required

(gpayments.com) and MemberCheck (membercheck.com and namescan.io), and 29 people.

We develop software and services for fraud prevention through online payment authentication, and

risk management through anti money laundering and KYC compliance services.

Our clients are global and primarily in the financial, superannuation and payment services industries.
