Job Summary
As a Senior Interior Designer you would serve as a fully capable professional in an Interior design team. The Senior Interior Designer plans, (including budget + resources), schedules, organizes, coordinates and executes the design work on any/all phases of development on small to medium scale projects (or distinct portions of larger projects),
with regular interaction with an Associate or designated senior team member.

Job Duties :
Project /Design Responsibilities :
· Organises own and others work to achieve set deadlines
· Responsible for the completeness & accuracy of own work. Responsible for the correctness, accuracy and complete multi-disciplinary coordination of the design documentation prepared by the assigned team
· Prepares BIM models and drawings and co-ordinates using Revit, Navisworks and/or other coordination software
· Adopts creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documentation to support these solutions
· Follows and assists in developing specific, standardized procedures to achieve project requirements and deadlines
· Proactively checks and coordinates project documents (including but not limited to multi-disciplinary drawings, design reports, technical specifications, etc.) and ensure they meet Client requirements and Industry Standards
· Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline BIM model information, presentation, and coordination
· Takes accountability for own work and subordinates work
· Able to produce presentations in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and carries out QAQC
· Collaborates/communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common design tasks
· Regularly reviews and checks their own and team deliverables for accuracy, efficiency and thoroughness ensuring delivery is as per Client requirements and Industry standards
· Leads Team regarding coordination issues and common design & BIM model development tasks
· Communicates with clarity, purpose and accuracy
· Determines solutions, methods and procedures on assignments to deliver products & services
· Provides guidance to junior staff
· Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, develops details, develops specifications
· Leads coordination of design using Revit, Navisworks and other coordination software
· Participates in pro-active coordination with internal and external design disciplines to achieve a high-quality consistent set of presentation or design documents as per Client requirements and Industry standards
· Responsible for the preparation and compilation of design presentations and reports
· Leads team meetings and brings ideas and solutions to the table
· Plans for and applies Safety in Design principles throughout all design stages of a project
· Reviews / Checks material schedules and sample boards
· Developed knowledge of local & international codes, regulations and applies this knowledge into their project work
· Attends / Leads client meetings
· Confidently present work to colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
· Provide technical support to site supervision teams and resolve design related issues on site
· Coordinate and develop responses to 3rd Party review comments, tender queries, contractor’s queries, etc
· Contribute, from the onset of a project, to the design of innovative and progressive design solutions that reconcile client’s goals, priorities, the underlying ‘story’ and spatial flow together with primary and secondary ‘layers’ while fostering opportunities for design excellence
· To perform and/or direct material and building system research and participate in the co-ordination and preparation of project specifications

· Produce vignettes/hand sketches of interior and FF&E ideas that work in the space and meet the intended goals including branding & positioning
· Prepares various schedules such as finishes, FF&E and carries out QAQC
· Plans and manages design work ensuring project objectives are met, design instructions are implemented, and delivery is achieved within the set time and budget
Minimum Requirements
· Minimum 10 years post undergraduate experience
· Proven related professional experience in an Architectural or Interior Design Practice
· Experience of working on medium to large scale projects including site experience
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Interior Design
· International Accreditations (BIID, AIID or equivalent)
· Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent)
