QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
- Set up laboratory policy, procedures, and programs, implement and manage all laboratory related activities accordingly.
- Development and implementation of ISO 17025 Quality Management System. Provide related certificate, carry out internal audits and maintain ISO17025 certification.
- Management, implementation and maintaining of necessary technical certificates such as personnel and product certifications. Maintain relationship with the certification bodies on behalf of the laboratory.
- Regular review of laboratory’s quality procedures, making necessary revisions, ensuring that up-to-date documents are put into practice.
- Manage the quality, technical operations, and testing practices of the laboratory.
- Plan the outsourced works (calibration, certification, etc.) and ensuring that they are carried out in line with the plan.
- Create technical specifications for the purchase of test equipment and tools, selection of suppliers and evaluation of business results of suppliers accordingly. Ensure that necessary works are carried out for those who are not suitable by checking the work results.
- Responsible for the qualification review of internal welders/inspectors.
- Ensure that product samples are taken, product tests are carried out periodically, all test results and sample measurements are reported and archived.
- Ensure and follow-up the maintenance of test equipment and the calibration of all measuring instruments in the laboratory.
- Provide measurement and accurate comparison trainings for the use of the machine in the new machine installation.
- Supervise whether the wastes produced in the laboratory are disposed of in accordance with the environmental waste regulation.
- Receive feedback about the problems related to the laboratory, make the necessary arrangements to eliminate the problems and contact the relevant sections when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from Mechanical / Material Engineering. Preferably Master's Degree in related departments.
- Having at least 5 years of experience, at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025.
- Knowledge of Eddy-Current test; ET level 1/ level 2 in accordance with ISO 9712, or an equivalent recognized and documented standard.
- Knowledge of Tensile test, Flattening test, Flaring test, Bending test, Hardness test, & Corrosion test.
- Calibration Verification Certificate.
