QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a well-organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to display a “passion for perfection” and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess:

· Previous leadership experience in Sales Department is required

· Bachelor's degree in reputable universities

· Fluency in English & Turkish

· Previous Opera experience is an asset

· Must possess a professional presentation

· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

· Highly responsible & reliable

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times


The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

· Handles travel agency accounts in various markets in Turkey and abroad

· Follows up the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly actions of Leisure Sales Team

· Provide the appropriate sales training programs to his/her sales team member

· Makes sales calls to agencies within Istanbul and source markets (i.e. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait) to present the hotel and establish a good relationship

· Conduct lunch or dinner with the travel agencies in order to promote different restaurants chalet, gabbro etc.

· Records all sales activities in Opera

· Conducts familiarization trips, house tours to potential clients

· Implements all sales action plans

· Submits weekly and monthly sales reports to the Director of Sales

· Conducts Familiarization Trips from the main markets in conjunction with Global Sales Offices, Head Office, Airlines as well as other sources

· Works to exploit the new market and suggests them for the S&M Plan

· Established and maintains good relations with the contact people in all accounts

· Implements all policies, procedures of the hotel

· Participates in to the functions to entertain decision makers and bookers

· Promotes all special programs of the hotel

· Provides feedback to the Director of Sales on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone or direct mail

· Participates monthly Sales & Marketing meetings and daily brief

· Performs related duties and special projects as assigned

· A weekly personal sale call target is 20 and telephone call target is 20

· Makes sure that a proper correspondence is answered within 24 hours, checks regularly to have an up to date and orderly filing

· Handles tour series and ad hoc leisure groups

· Issues leisure group memo to one week prior to arrival of her group and distributes to related departments

· Assists the operational departments with a smooth flow of information received from client and makes sure the operation is a success
