QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Leading international manufacturer of wind turbines worldwide, present in several countries across the world seeks qualified Local Operations Managerto fill the owing position in field operations in;


Essential Experiences, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or in depth field experience in wind energy sector with work experience of minimum three years,
  • Experience in management and supervising (deployment of staff, motivating),
  • Experience in coordinating and controlling subcontractors,
  • Knowledge of country specific laws and regulations (e.g. labor law, HSE regulations),
  • Experience in preparing and monitoring the budget for your area of responsibility,
  • Strong customer focus and orientation,
  • Excellent in planning, organizing, systematic problem solving and end-to-end thinking,
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis,
  • Excellent English language skills,
  • Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in house database and workload management systems (SAP).


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of service technicians to ensure completion of their allocated service activities within the specified time frames and to the required standards (scheduled – unscheduled maintenance, retrofit, SN, etc.),
  • Ensure availability of wind turbine,
  • Generate and use KPIs to monitor team, individuals’ and wind farm performance and take action as appropriate to share successes, address shortfalls and make improvements,
  • Communicate with customers and follow up on customer requests,
  • Coordinate and control subcontractors,
  • Recruitment and development of service technicians including identification of training needs and delivery of on site training and coaching to create and maintain a high performing team,
  • Implement internal and external HSE regulations and make sure that these regulation are being lived,
  • Prepare calculations and quotations according to customer demands within the daily operational business,
  • Administrative works related with technicians (overtimes, expenses, annual leaves, etc.),
  • Obtaining quotations for subcontractor works and raising relevant purchase order,
  • Purchasing and warehousing control in service sites,
  • Supporting PM department for resources (commissioners and supervisors),
  • Process improvement (QA and QC procedures),
  • Ensuring better SAP Data Quality (closing service order),
  • Cost controlling,
  • Follow-up of invoicing to be made for completed service activities.
