We are now taking applications for Senior Consultants in our M&A Tax team.
We have a dedicated team of M&A Tax professionals who can advise on the full range of deal-related tax issues and who are used to work in close collaboration with KPMG’s Clients and other service providers to create synergies over the course of the deal. Basically, the team provides:
- Pre-deal tax planning advise
- Analysis of tax implications of alternative deal structures (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, asset vs share deals)
- Tax due diligence
- Assistance in post-acquisition implementation
- Assistance in negotiation of tax related matters with other parties and preparation of share purchase agreements
- Recommendation on tax effective solutions to international complexities
What You Will Do
As an M&A Tax Senior in our team, we will expect you to:
- Take an active role in tax due diligence projects, by reviewing the historical financial and tax data of target companies (e.g. tax returns and calculations, tax examination/litigation documents, financial statements, incentive certificates, depreciation lists, transfer pricing reports, business contracts, etc.), assessing and calculating the potential tax risks inherent in the target companies
- Lead the junior engagement teams, train the junior staff members and provide coaching and mentoring to them
- Participate in KPMG’s project teams and work hand in hand with Turkish and foreign investors, senior client executives, and other advisors (e.g. lawyers, financial or commercial advisors etc.) working for the M&A projects
- Write detailed and professional tax due diligence reports and prepare the drafts of other client deliverables such as tax structuring reports, opinion letters, emails, memorandums etc. in Turkish or in English
- Contribute to the projects technically by conducting research on sectoral tax practices and tax legislation (communiqués, circulars, articles, rulings, etc.)
- Establish credibility and develop relationships with current and prospective clients
- Help development and implementation of general tax planning strategies for the clients
- Provide support in other matters as requested by the project Managers
