We are now taking applications for Experienced Assistants & Seniors in ourM&A Tax team.

We have a dedicated team of M&A Tax professionals who can advise on the full range of deal-related tax issues and who are used to work in close collaboration with KPMG’s Clients and other service providers to create synergies over the course of the deal. Basically, the team provides:

  • Pre-deal tax planning advise
  • Analysis of tax implications of alternative deal structures (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, asset vs share deals)
  • Tax due diligence
  • Assistance in post-acquisition implementation
  • Assistance in negotiation of tax related matters with other parties and preparation of acquisition agreements
  • Recommendation on tax effective solutions to international complexities

What You Will Do

As an Experienced Assistant or as a Senior member in our team, we will expect you to:

  • Provide assistance to Managers through support in research, development, implementation, project strategy and other M&A tax initiatives for specific clients
  • Leadership of engagement teams as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff members
  • Participate in KPMG’s engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, and investors.
  • Write detailed professional reports and other client deliverables
  • Establish credibility and develop relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Help develop and implement general tax planning strategies

What You Bring To The Role

  • BA degree in Economics, Business Administration and related departments
  • 1-3 years of experience in a field of tax
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Interest in developing strong tax technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player, dedication and strong work effort, and demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Proven ability to interact with co-workers, management and clients alike in a manner that is respectful, patient, and understanding
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Is keen to assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for various clients
  • Willingly takes on and learns new skills by researching a wide variety of tax issues
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the Client’s business and maintain strong client relationships
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Ability and willingness to travel where it is necessary
